Magic from the Session 2 (£5 / $10)
If you couldn't make it to The Session 2007, you can still experience a little of the convention spirit! We always print a few extra copies of Magic from the Session - the free booklet that we give away to attendees of The Session - a magic convention that I co-organise every January. It's for this reason that I'm able to offer a small number of copies on my website.
Here's a brief rundown of the effects and moves you'll find in Magic from the Session 2:
Savannah Switch (Robert Moreland)
Lots of people have commented that Robert's handling of Chris Kenner's 4 For 4 Switch fits their hands better than any other version. It's a great move - I think you'll enjoy it!
Three Effects using Versatile Sandwich Move (Jon Armstrong)
Jon's Versatile Sandwich Move is a great switch with lots of applications. Not only do I explain that move in this booklet, but also three effects using it too!
Kaned (Jamie Badman)
This is Jamie Badman's great handling for Peter Kane's classic Jazz Aces effect. As always with Jamie, it's an extremely fooling and excellently constructed routine!
Snatch (Tyler Wilson)
Two Jokers slowly and visibly sink down into the deck to capture a selection. This was one of the many hit effects of the convention.
Twisting Maxi Twist (Allan Ackerman)
I have no idea how Allan has managed to create so much magic around the classic Maxi Twist effect. This is a great routine.
Fire Writer (Luke Dancy)
This is yet another brilliantly creative effect of Luke's. You hand someone a lighter and ask them to wave it under a playing card. When the card is turned over, you show that they've actually burnt the name of their selection right on the card.
Lunch Crunch (Paul Cummins)
It's unusual to see Paul Cummins' name associated with a non-card or coin trick. This is a situational piece of magic that you'll be able to fit into any lunch meeting.
This is a 35 page booklet, printed on high-quality paper. It's exactly the same kind of quality you've experienced in my other books.
